Happy Haircut Saturday!! The day is finally here. I know I must seem so overly excited about getting my haircut, but it’s been forever. I think around 8 months or so?! And I don’t mean getting any trims in between, a scissor hasn’t touched my hair at all. Ok well that’s a bit of a lie because my bangs get trimmed but that doesn’t realllly count. I know I mentioned that I was going to post the photos I’m using for inspiration, but I have decided to keep it a secret instead. So then I can surprise you all with my new look.
Last night was pretty uneventful. Last night I stayed in and watched “Don’t Need You: The Herstory of Riot Grrrl” , did some design work, got sucked into one of my new favorite blogs 90’s Woman, and played around with Good Reads. So perhaps according to some it would have uneventful but for me it was filled with motivation and inspiration. I’ve never really talked about my connection with feminism and riot grrrl on my blog before, but I think that’s going to change. I’ve been discovering more resources and like minded individuals online and it’s truly inspiring.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend and look out for my new hair! Also, I’ve been getting so many awesome questions on Formspring, so if you have anything you want to know, ask away!

You mentioned on an earlier blog about welcoming recommendations…I literally just finished reading the most incredible book, “A Crime so Monstrous: Face to Face With Modern Day Slavery,” written by E. Benjamin Skinner.
I am working towards pursuing a career working in the field of domestic violence, with a focus on human trafficking. As a strong female, I thought you might be interested in the topic/book and spread the word to your following. It is such an important issue that touches all walks of lives.
