Why is it that when I get my blog groove back something suddenly happens that keeps me from it? Sigh, the universe has a funny way of playing jokes on me. Although, last week was not so amusing.

The short story is that I had a massive toothache from hell. The longer version is that I woke up on Wednesday night in excruciating pain, and I ended up at my dentist’s office with him telling me I need to have a tooth pulled and an implant done. Unfortunately, the infection in my tooth was so bad that they had to put me on antibiotics and painkillers. In turn, I spent my weekend on my couch, under the influence of Vicodin, watching Dawson’s Creek reruns and The Only Way is Essex, and unable to eat solid food. Sure, that sounds all sorts of relaxing, but I totally had cabin fever by Saturday and only wanted to leave my house. Haha. Oh and my face swelled up like a chipmunk. Brett thought it was amusing, I however did not.

Today, the pain has finally subsided and I’m going to get my tooth pulled tomorrow. I’m not very excited about that happening. But, it is what it is.

Hopefully, I can do a little bit more blogging this week like I planned. Sigh, stupid teeth.
