First Day of Working at Home
Well, it’s officially my first day of working from home since our office’s move to Miami. And I’m pretty stoaked on it. I got my desk/office area set up for the most part, I just need to organize my calendar for the upcoming week. I think I need a more comfortable chair too. And, I pretty much spent the day working in my PJs. I’ve read some mixed things from people about how they still get dressed up and ready for the day while working at home because it keeps them motivated. But, to be quite honest, I’m not trying to waste my outfits while working from home, especially if I have no plans of leaving my apartment. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sitting here in my Hello Kitty footie pjs or anything, but I’m definitely rocking some yoga pants and a tank top. Comfy clothes. I’m starting to understand why people wear UGGs. I know I’ve mentioned this before. Haha. It’s despicable, I know.
I have discovered a new found love for weirdo daytime TV shows like ‘Matlock’, ‘In the Heat of the Night’, and (drum roll please) ‘Days of our Lives’. A fucking soap opera. I know. I remember watching Days way back when in my college years when I was hungover. I could watch that shit for hours.
The one thing I definitely do need to get on is organizing my hourly schedule. Or I can just imagine finding myself sleeping until noon and not getting stuff done until 2am or some nonsense. I want to avoid that at all costs. I mean, it’s not like I have to sit at my computer working from 9-5, but I’m not a total shithead. I am motivated and want to stay on top of all my work. Obviously. Haha. I just need to get a routine going. I think if I find a way to incorporate working out (trying again) into the start of my day, and then going from there, I’ll get my day running pretty smoothly.
My one issue is, I constantly want to eat all the snacks in my fridge. I need to put a lock on it while I’m sitting at home or something. Ugh.
Do any of you work from home? What’s your day like? How do you organize yourself?
Alright, Dr.Oz just came on TV with his “Lazy Girls Guide to Getting Healthy”. This episode is calling my name, so I’m just gonna go ahead and get sucked into some more daytime TV.
