Late nights and early mornings, this is how my week started off. And now I think I’m getting sick. Total sadface! Especially during this ultra busy week of mine, I need to be in tip top shape! So why is this week so busy?! In addition to lots of schoolwork, Happy House Vintage is launching the online shop!

This weekend while doing some spring cleaning & reorganizing I happened to come across the funniest pair of sneakers hiding under a pile of shoes. They’re bright green hightops covered in pink whales, and have a pointy toe!

Apparently, they’re by the brand Sugar? I haven’t heard that name in a bazillion years. I wonder if they still exist. These shoes are a little small, so I wouldn’t mind finding a new pair. Time to go on a treasure hunt I guess!

As previously mentioned, I’m in the process of redecorating and overhauling my work area. Lately I’ve been really in the mood for paper lanterns, I think they will add a nice touch to the somewhat boring window treatments. I think I saw a few different ones at the dollar store a few weeks ago, so perhaps I’ll take a visit there tomorrow. Honestly, I am on the hunt for just about anything to cover up these horrid yellow walls. I also really want some mini lockers for my apartment. I remember in highschool a friend of mine had them in her room, and it was amazing. I found these but they’re a bit expensive. If anyone knows where to look, let me know!

Speaking of my work area, I can’t wait to start doing some major craft work and DIY’n. I think I’m going to keep all my craft projects over at the Happy House blog, and all fashion DIY related things will be either on here or LadyLike. So many ideas. So little time.

Ah…it’s Monday my most favorite day of the week. Not really, but lately I’ve been trying to enter my Mondays with a more positive attitude, that way they don’t make me so insane. And after this crazy weekend, I honestly don’t even feel like I have weekends anymore, so really what is a Monday?

Friday night was great, caught up with some old friends and met some new ones to attend “For Arts Sake” at The Bubble, a local gallery in Fort Lauderdale.

I spent Saturday with some very talented and wonderful ladies shooting the Happy House Vintage stock. It was a very long day that included 20+ looks, but it was an absolute blast. It reminded me how much I love styling and re-confirmed the fact that I am so excited about this new project.

Because of this new adventure, I felt it was necessary to re-do my desk and work space. I spent most of Sunday night re-organizing the area and I think I’m pretty happy with the almost final result. I did give a few sneak peeks on Twitter, but there is still a good amount of work left. I will say that my work area does look like Hello Kitty Land, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ve got all sorts of things on my to do list for this evening:
- Laundry
- Design Homework
- Photo Retouching & Editing
- Measuring Clothing

Sounds pretty exciting huh? I think within the next few weeks it’s going to be time to pick up an intern.
