For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a certain admiration for creepers, around age 13 I got my first pair along with my first pair of real doc marten combat boots. Nothing spectacular, just a basic pair of black suede ones, but I absolutely adored them. Throughout the years I’ve picked up a new pair of creepers here and there, and unfortunately have lost a good amount of them along the way. Lately I’ve been on the hunt for a new pair, but ones that have a special spin put on them, which is exactly what I’ve discovered in the 80%20 Nory Creepers. They still have that classic feel but the elevated platform in the heel makes them a tad bit more feminine, which I totally love. These are definitely on my must have list for my shoe collection.
This has really been the year for all collaborations involving Vans, and I’m absolutely loving every bit of it. For their latest collab project, Vans and Made Me have gotten together to create more magic, in which designer Erin Magee draws inspiration from the music, nightlife, and NYC scene of the late 80′s and 90′s. Erin so appropriately named her sneakers “Life Is a Mystery,” after Madonna’s “Like a Prayer” lyric, as well as stamping the sneakers with white crosses representing Madonna’s iconic jewelry and Keith Haring’s scribbles. I’ve already got my eye on that pair of must have black & white Camryns, and I’m sure this collection will leave us wanting more. They’ve released a teaser video for the upcoming collection and I’m already dying to see the full length one on November 1st. Can’t wait to get my hands on a pair of these kicks!
